Jane's Place

Mission Statement

WELCOME TO JANE'S PLACE:  A place for hope and healing.

The primary mission of Jane's Place is to promote health and healing : physically, spiritually, and emotionally.

On her blog,  Jane shares her story of fighting through the life changing disease of Lupus, FMS, Atypical Rheumatic Disease, as well as losing her career, housing, health insurance, transportation and the most important thing of all to her, her family relationships.
In experiencing these many trials, Jane would like to help other's find hope and never give up.  She understands on a very personal level what it means to experience deep loss, and tragedy that seems to never end.

It was only through her faith, good friend Shelby her dog, and many generous people whom she met along her journey, that she found the strength to overcome years of defeat.

Jane's upcoming personal foundation will assist single woman who are facing a health crisis to stay self-sufficient and housed.  This foundation, in part, will keep women out of the social system.
{ Please write to Oprah via her website if you believe a mission of healing for our sociey is important.
Share your show idea and tell her about Jane's dream to build her first cultural healing house:  www.culturalhealinghouse.org }

Brown Dog Foundation helps Jane and Shelby heal   :   2009
You can also view her blog and share in her journey... Jane says without faith in God, and her good friend named "Shelby " her beloved pet, there would have been no recovery.

Her motto is " Believe in the impossible, and strive toward the practical. "

She will be glad to share her story with any size group.  She also loves to work with children, and enjoys encouraging anyone who is seeking better health.  All churches are invited to contact Jane, and she will gladly share her inspirational story.
Jane's personal dream is to build Cultural Healing Houses in every state of the nation.
The healing houses will be a new cultural phenomenon offering music, art,  prayer and healing rooms, a beautfiul peace garden, and holistic health sessions.

Anyone interested in the arts, music, preventative healthcare, and pets for healing: will want to become part of this wonderful mission.

REACHING FOR YOUR DREAMS IS A PROACTIVE CHOICE TO LIVE A BETTER LIFE, WHILE ENGAGING IN SERVING OTHER'S.

Jane's Bio can be seen on www.freedomwalkfoundation.org    at the top of the page.

Freedom Walk is a dream to unite all races, creeds, cultures and denominations by walking together in a unified " Walk for Freedom "

Jane has learned to, " Believe in the impossible, and strive toward the practical, "  her signature statement.
Jane is blessed to be alive after the diagnosis of Lupus, FMS, and Atypical Rheumatic disease drastically changed her life and future. Through these many life changing events, Jane shares her message of inspiration.

Jane believes that every life has a purpose, and every heart has a dream, while she can truly empathize with anyone facing seemingly immovable obstacles.

Jane says:  " I believe that FAITH is real, and the divine can be the  inspiration to live a better life.
Hebrews 11: 1 states:  Now, faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen. "

A portion of Jane's personal story is as follows:
Twenty years ago, I had the life one would hope to keep.  I lived in beautiful Newport Beach, California earning over $70,000 annually { late 1980's } as a top executive for my company.  I drove a brand new BMW,  had perfect health, ran 25 miles a week, water and snow skiied, played tennis and golf, as well as helping build churches in Mexico.

Not only was I active with sports, but I lived life to the fullest.

Through the tough and often disabling struggles, God was with me throughout it all, and this is my message.
It was and is my greatest desire to share faith and healing with anyone who desires a more fulfilling life.  I have truly struggled to share my  message, and will continue to work toward the dream of healing other's by sharing hope.
On a persona level, I realize that we all get lost in the business of life, and sometimes we need to be reminded of what is most important in life.
I love seeing the divine at work through everyday occurences, people, places and pets.  I believe we can share peace, joy and love, even in the midst of struggle or pain.  Paying things forward, random acts of kindness, and living with the hope of making someone else remember that good exists, can be plain old FUN!  Just do it!
For me:
Had it not been for the grace of God,  good people, and my rescued lab-mix, Shelby,  I would not be where I am today.  I found Shelby in a drain-pipe near her death when she was a puppy, and she gave me the impetus to heal, one day at a time.
Personally, I have not yet found a way to come out of our social system, therefore I am starting my own foundation.

WE CAN CHANGE OUR WORLD ONE PERSON AT A TIME.

I believe that preventative healthcare is desperately needed in our society, and I feel confidant that we can prevent all sorts of illnesses with proper education.

Time is a precious commodity.

"And we know that all things work together for the good of those that love God, and are called according to His purposes."  Romans 8: 28

A message to all Christians:
The World didn't care, the Church isn't listening...
True Believers:
We can all become more involved in racial, political, and financial arenas for the cause of Christ.  There is far too much racial, gender, and societal inequality in America and beyond.
True followers of Jesus Christ, I beckon you to come closer to our Saviour.  He is calling you.
Are you aware of the multitudes of people just waiting for you to be the caring hands, compassionate eyes, hearing ears, and loving arms of Christ our Saviour?
Jesus Christ was and is compassion, not criticism.
Jesus came that they might have life, and have it more abundantly... John 10:10

"God has made everything beautiful for it's own time.  He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God's work from beginning to end."  Ecclesiastes 3:11

Jane's Place Foundation:  where compassion and passion meet, with practical faith as a guiding light.

" Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen."  Hebrews 11:1
Gods love will never fail you.

" Love is patient and kind.  Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude.  Love does not demand it's own way.  Love is not irritable, and it keeps no record of when it has been wronged.  It is never glad about injustice, but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.  Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.  "   1 Corinthians  13:4

June 21, Saturday
Right now all over the world children are starving, can you help?
My mind is filled with the images of pain and poverty, will you love?
I cannot understand the millions of wasted dollars spent on selfish desires, can you?
Are you willing to change the hopes of one child today?
They are waiting on you.
You can make a difference.
We all can change our generation.
Will you be one?
Adopt a child today       www.compassion.com
Make that friend, take the time, spend those dollars, skip a $6 coffee just once a week.

Thanks, Jane

"  What lies behind us and what lies ahead of us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us. "
    Ralph Waldo Emerson

Word for the day:  Mansetuede- Gentleness, meekness, mildness.
" Our Lord Himself made all of mansetuede."  Robert Browning
" So I say to you, ask and it will be given to you, seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be opened unto you. "   Luke 11:9

Prayer for today:
May the light from God's grace shine through you
In the hope of HIS love to fill you
May the peace that surpasses human intellect come to you
And  may your heart be full
May those that you love find you a joy
And those that are not loving you, give you strength to forgive
May Gods grace surround you each day
And find you seeking His heavenly hope
And, may the God of heaven and earth shower you with destiny
Prayers, love and strength
May your days be long
And your life be full
Be strong my friend, all can be well
Find God's hope,  a greet each day
May your dreams come to light
With forgiveness, grace and hope
May every dream be found
And divine love come around,
For all of your tomorrows to be led from the light of today.
By Jane

Thought for the day:
If you could change just one thing in your life, what would it be?

Prayer
Now to Him who is able to keep me from stumbling.
And to present me faultless
Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,
To God our Saviour,
Who alone is wise,
Be glory and majesty,
Dominion and power,
Both now and forever.
Amen
This is from the book of Jude verses 24-25

Also, I am writing my memoir in order that I might meet the many nieces and nephews that I have loved from afar.   " Love seeks one thing only: the good of the one loved.  It leaves all the other secondary effects to take care of themselves. "   Thomas Merton

" The greatest gift of all is love, without which stems all evil. "
"  Today is the leading light to all tomorrows.   This is all we have, do not waste it. "   Jane
